Happy New Year to all our members.
After a most successful ten years of teaching, Barbara Sullivan retired at the end of 2011 in order to spend more time with her family.
The club reluctantly farewelled Barb at our annual Christmas Party at which we presented her with a magnificent scrapbook compiled by one of our mothers, Carol Christensen. Carol was able to obtain many photos of our members in years gone by as well as the recent years and these were accompanied by many heartfelt written messages to Barb. Thank you to Carol and all who contributed to make this scrapbook a truly wonderful memento for Barb to keep and look back upon.
Although Barb will be very hard to replace, we are lucky that one of our very experienced Senior Girls, Alice Hanna, has agreed to teach our children from 3 years up to 12 years. Alice is a long-time physi girl, beginning her association with physi as a very young child at Narrabeen Club under the leadership of Helen Hines. Alice has twice been Grand Champion of the Edith Parsons School and continues to excel in the Open Senior ranks, placing second in 2011 at our Grand Finals. We wish Alice a happy and successful transition to this new stage of her physi life.
Helen will continue to teach all age groups from 13 years upwards with the help of several other Senior girls and Ladies.
Our new physi year will begin on Monday, February 6, 2012. Class times will be the same as last year and a new registration form with these times can be downloaded using the link at the bottom left or this page.
We look forward to seeing everyone back for another happy and enjoyable year at our friendly club. Please ask your friends to come along too to give physi a go!
